“Some of these negative developments must be put down not to undeserved poverty but wholly or in part to insufficient competence in domestic matters, specifically among women.

"The most striking feature displayed by the more disagreeable sections of this class include a lack of personal ambition, indifference to the demands of community and nation, and interests that stop with sport and frivolity.”

Here's a thought, will people retrospectively start re-gendering people through progressive thinking? So for example if it wasn't documented that Dangermouse was a geezer they could start saying "yeah he was a girl all along".
