Anyway, shouldn't this all be in Transfer Talk.

There is a case for a new topic "Moans"

It would be crash under the weight.

How do you know it was 'left so late' with Brondby? Simply because you saw the first report about it late on? Most business is well under way a significant time before any media gets hold of any information, again basing your opinions on media stories and other clubs fans, who again won't know more than the media, is simply naive.

So you don't think we could have secured this goalkeeper within the month? or even since last summer? Thanks for calling me naive (which at 61 years of age I am most definately not) nor do I frequent social media so maybe it is you that is being naive.

If you can furnish evidence to prove that we only approached at the 11th hour then you will win this mini argument. If not, then you will not.

My guess: we try to do business under the radar given the number of poaches we suffer. I suspect Dougie et al have been forced to sweat for months waiting to see if the hoped linked deal will come off at Brondby. For no fault of our own it did not.

How is it poor, CB, Midfielder and Striker signed, just because you don’t know who they are. I guess you are influenced by the media with a thirst for big money signings.
Average window, could of been better if Lille didn’t piss about.

When neither 3 start a game in the next few months you may want to review this post.

3 young players, none of whom have any English, yet alone Prem experience, will not trouble our starting X1 unless we get injuries.

Why were we even trying to buy Adamou? We have defensive midfield players and centre backs we need more attacking players.

We have no No10 and no cover on the wings. None of the 3 signings fill these positions.

Who can we bring on for the last 20 to provide some creativity - Chungy??

I'm not sure how anyone can spin this as a positive window when, regardless of the players we have recruited, we have failed to strengthen the areas actually identified by the manager as needing improvement. We have the weakest goalkeepers in the division and a frighteningly shallow pool of attackers. Hopefully Sorloth will prove to be useful but we are still totally reliant on Zaha and Townsend staying fit with Sako now out. It isn't just this window either, we haven't adequately addressed the goalkeeper and striker situations since we got promoted.

totally agree that you cannot spin this as a positive window.

I've always defended SP but back on Sept 1st it was obvious what we needed and here we are on Feb 1 with the squad still unbalanced and lacking creativity.

Roy has done a great job but the lack of substitutions in recent games has highlighted the lack of depths we have. With Sako now injured we have to hope that Wilf and Townsend are injury free (and no suspensions!) for the rest of the season.

I have no issue with the 3 we have bought in - but they are all young and inexperienced. They will be bit part players this season

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Dear oh dear. No you don't wind me up. Reading this rubbish, how could you?

We confirm we want the keeper earlier, Brondby find another earlier enough. This is unless we thought Gaialta (sp) might be coming, which it looks like he isn't, if at all, seeing as we're saving the £8 mil or so and probably watching him go to Stoke or somewhere.

I get this slight feeling Parish doesn't want to put himself in the position where he has to move Speroni out. We need 3, then when we get THE number 1 in the summer, one of Hennessy or Speroni have to go. Or both go and 2 came in to add to the Brondby lad. Speroni could've gone onto coach if Parish didn't want to finally call time.

I would have been pretty chuffed with any B when I was at school.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
