I believe we did enough to get a share of the spoils against a team who many believe will be serious challengers to Man C.Having lost however, it is important that we get get something from the Watford game. A lot of positives but the usual negative of Benteke.

From my seat in the Holmesdale and subsequently on TV never a pen. Just because there is contact it doesn't mean it's a foul (football is a contact sport remember). The contact made in that instance wouldn't be enough to send him down and he dived IMO. Similarly just because a player doesn't go down doesn't mean it isn't a foul, but in this case players were going for the ball and Salah felt a touch and dived rather than try and get a shot away. [quote=bright&wright;3361540] Nah I’d rather have just moved those out of block E, given the HF what they wanted and had an atmosphere, than that sh*t show tonight. Must have been at a different game to me. Thought it was a good atmosphere myself. Nice not t have that f*****g drum banging all game

The way i saw it, Sakho stretched for the ball and Salah used the leg to make contact and dive. Very clever way to win a penalty.

In terms of the incident with Sakho and Salah, firstly Sakho gets far too tight with the Liverpool player who is very strong and very difficult to shake off the ball. Salah is always looking to cut in on to his left foot so Sakho would have been better advised to take a step to his right perhaps forcing Salah inside onto his weaker right foot and then Sakho might have been able to get a tackle in with his stronger left foot.Sakho allowed Salah on to Salah's strong foot then Sakho was off balance and stretching legs apart tackling with his weaker right foot and made contact with Salah which resulted in the penalty. Michael Oliver could not have been better placed to see the incident.Speaking after the game and also over-hearing supporters, the decision split opinion ! Edited by Willo (21 Aug 2018 10.15am)
