Watched the game on the telly here in Canada and the lack of courage from the palace team was clear after the first goal. In stead of doubling down on the structure Paddy had put in place, they all wandered around doing their own thing with no cohesion and no awareness of Arsenal players around them. Tomkins, Ward, Luca completely outplayed and Mitchell / Zaha continually failed to work together in both defence and attack. Edouard was useless.

Let's not kid ourselves, this group does not have what it currently takes to beat those teams below us, either skill wise, team wise or attitude wise. The new manager has a massive mountain to climb. Some is fixable, some not, relegation looks more likely than less likely

How many years have the fans been screaming and even pleading for a reasonable right back. Parish and Freedman have ignored this priority or alternatively have been incompetent at finding anyone even a promising talent in the lower divisions. This theme is consistent with strikers and a central play-maker.

Parish and Freedman are the main problem with Palace and they are being quickly found out.

The beatings will stop when morale improves.

Agreed , what is more worrying was the argueing between players and also my most dissapointment was fans shouting and booeing Joel Ward, he’s Been a great servant and wouldn’t even have got here without him

“This is a crisis, a large crisis.... in fact if you have a moment, it’s a 12 storey crisis, magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24 hour portage , and an enormous sign on the roof saying “This , is a large crisis” - Edmund Blackadder

Just got back from the game.

You boys were absolutely shocking! it's sad to see your away fans suffer in silence, you used to be the most passionate fans to come to the Emirates every year.

Turning point for me was Zaha at 4-1, he was moaning with Edouard on centre circle, he decided to do what he wanted and started showboating ignoring any tactics from the manager - he's a horrible ill-disciplined individual.

It sounded like we had all our chants and songs stolen by your s*** house fans so no wonder. It was so obvious I had to get the sick bucket, especially when I heard the chant to glad all over, pathetic and the cringiest fans, along with Brighton, in the league.
P.S. go f*** yaself and I hope they blow the title and then we can hear your w***er fans crying and wanting Arteta sacked.

Well done to Schlupp for taking his chance well.

He takes ridiculous amounts of flak, but he has a happy knack of scoring a goal once in a while.

My view is that we should play Ayew as a central striker - I think he would surprise a few people.

The club is in a bad place at the moment, but it's futile to keep knocking players and the chairman.

'We get knocked down but we get up again' - that should be be the attitude.

So that would be the same Jordan Ayew that has 15 goals in 148 appearances for Palace and yet you want to play him as central striker - as he could surprise a few people..!!

Yes your are right on the basis that this could surprise a few people - mainly the people who know something about football..!!

Jordan Ayew should be nowhere near the starting XI for the rest of the season - and subject to us staying up should then be jettisoned into the Championship because that is the level he is..!!

Discussion over..!!

The point here is that the money spent under Vieira was necessary after the run down of the Hodgson team. Whoever took the job after Hodgson would have had the money spent on, because the team was depleted.
What one can ask is, "Was the money spent wisely?" As we know, Freedman does the scouting and Parish signs the cheques, so the choice of player or the amount spent had little to do with Vieira.

We look like a tired side that needs a break. I listen to the likes of Pep and Arteta talking about how tired the players are and the need to rotate players and use the squad. They can afford to bench players like de Bruyne. We have just finished a horrendous run of tough games against the top teams in the league and used the same 15 players all the time. No wonder they look beaten and lost. Unfortunately that doesn’t put us in the best position to go again after the break. The other players in our first team squad may not be the best but we should have used them during these games instead of flogging a tired horse to death.

We’ve been making excuses for Ward for the last 3 seasons. If I hear again “he’s been a great servant….blah blah , I’m going to run into the woods naked screaming.

Today was a total cock up yes, but our forwards have been absolutely and totally pathetic all season and they've completely drained everyone's confidence and all we have left is frustration, changing the manager was not necessary, the question is how have we ended up with strikers who are nowhere near good enough and defenders who now should be playing in league one.

PV had no hope of achieving success.

FFS Arsenal are 8 points clear at the top, what the .... do we expect?
