Aren't we all !

But at the end of the day they are trying to "Sell" a club which had a disastrous 2016 and finished in 15th place, and a team which plays in a rickety old stadium in front of a "Mere" 24,000 fans.A team which many might consider to be one which struggles in the coming season.We are hardly a big "Pull".

This is the reality of the situation so lets's not hurl virulent criticism if certain "High profile" targets are not signed or it has been taking long to attract certain players to the club.

I don't agree.
If Liverpool and Palace agree a deal Benteke will be on the red eye straight back to the uk overnight that's certain. If both clubs want deal done it wil happen no matter if Liverpool are touring Australia Timbuktu or the moon.

Absolutely! We all want this deal to be done, but it really doesn't look very likely for whatever reason. This must have been going on for over a month. If this goes through it will be on deadline day, when no one else has come in for him and Liverpool and Benteke may accept out lower offer. We really should have moved on and secured another player before the season starts. Getting someone in on 31 August who may take a month to get fit, could define our season into a relegation battle. Points on the board and the confidence it gives are important in a league where there are many games you know you are playing superior opposition. I have a feeling we are once again going to be underwhelmed by a couple of rushed deadline day signings that are no better than what we have. And it will be typical if Wickham gets injured in the first game. I applaud the board and manager for the early deals we got in on good players. I dunno i think even should we get Benteke in Ladapo should be given a shot while Benteke gathers match fitness, same applies for any other striker signing. Use him as a substitute for Wickham, (seen as we've not much choice). better than mutch or Bolasie up front. The First 90 Minutes Are The Most Important!

If you had to go with one of the current crop while we sort the transfers, you have to go with Keshi - Quick, good movement (anyone who was at Fulham can vouch) and he's scored goals in the FL. In an ideal world, we'll have someone in but otherwise, YB is the best option - Being a premier league player an all!
