With McArthur back in training the club may now decide to hold off until the summer before making a move for another central midfielder, especially with Hughes finally getting his chance and showing some form. Richards' performances have also been solid and if he can play right back, again, the club might wait for the summer when the drawn-out AWB saga might be more likely to come to fruition. Personally I think the most likely player we'll sign now (if any) is another forward, especially if Wilf is out for a few weeks. I could see us making a late move for a player on loan, or a reasonable deal for someone like Antonio.

There's so little noise right now though that it does feel unlikely anything is going to happen.

It's being reported today that Zaha is out for 6 weeks with a hamstring injury.
Clearly we need to add before the window closes.

I literally get enraged when Edouard is wide left. He can't play that role. I'd honestly rather Schlupp or Ayew. Yes, that's how bad Edouard is wide left - worse than Schlupp or Ayew. He's sh1t out wide. Can barely remember what Eze was like. He lacks pace basically but does run sometimes - unlike Edouard.
Despite other people's opinions, I would try the youngsters there. Ebiowei, Rak-Sakyi, Plange, even Banks. It's at least eleven bodies on the pitch whilst it's ten with Edouard out wide.
And just for the record Edouard is fine centre forward - not great but ok.
