I assure you i do pay attention. What i see is a player who has absolutely no confidence, but instead of working hard to try and get some form back, serms to have given up and just going through the motions.

just don't get how anyone can support a forward who has only scored one goal all season.

I support him as he plays for Palace and I want Palace to do well.
For Palace to do well we want our best XI on the pitch , he is one of them.
1 goal this season , well have a look at the season. first 7 games all were complete rubbish or impossible due to Frank.
Then Benteke was injured and returned I think at the end of the 2-2 draw with Everton. Then he came on at half time v Stoke and we won 2-1. Include that game he has played in 10 out of 11 and we won 5 drew 4 and only lost one. The Swansea game he did not play we looked a poorer side and lacked direction.
This suggests to me we are a better team with him in the side. Roy has picked him every time he has been available to him in this period , and said we cannot afford to carry players , therefore Roy must also believe Benteke is part of our best team.
You say he has not much choice but he would not play him if he was giving zero effort as you and others suggest.
Benteke would be wanted most of the bottom 12 teams and causes others teams of similar quality to us problems. We saw the two big lumps Burnley played yesterday I would take Benteke over those types and Shane long all day.
What I don't understand is why you and others just want to bitch and slag him off when Palace are having a great run and he is contributing to it . A little bit of quality wins some tight premiership games and he can provide it and when he adds goals it will be great for us , so why don't you support him until he does ?
You seem to want to see him run all over the pitch like a headless chicken so you don't have to look too hard to see what he contributes .
Anyway as you said we will go with what Roy decides to do , I have no problem supporting Benteke untilhe is no longer Palace.

I admit I’ve only seen the highlights, but I thought Tekkers did some great stuff.

I’ve said before that footie is a team game. Tekkers is part of the team and the team is doing well.

The world of statistics means you can use them either way to argue your point that you are trying to make. Facts are hes a class player
