The question in bold summarises my thoughts entirely - it doesn't, in the same way it doesn't have anything to do with the subjects you reeled off in your earlier post. Anyone trying to make legitimate political points with this story, on either side of the spectrum, are just crowbarring things in IMO. I think the idea of the programme was to plant certain ideas in peoples heads which in themselves were not directly linked to modern politics but were designed for the easily lead to make the subconscious connection.

Wouldn't it have been easier to have just said that a few pages back? I have to say that I would love to know how big your tin foil hat is. Power and authority using various methods, mouthpieces, corporations, media and strategy to overtly and covertly control a population is nothing new, and there is certainly more sophistication to it these days. (You are not the only person that knows this). However what this doesn't necessarily mean is that everything in the world is always part of it, or used as a form of control or subversion, or has an underlying, sinister narrative. If someone had massive issues with authority, control and trust, then I could probably understand why everything would always seem to have such a narrative. I think some people might agree that it's a pretty scary place to be. Question everything is a great mantra, I try to live by it, but sometimes you do actually have to accept that there are also answers.
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

Which part of that requires the tin foil hat?

Turns out it's mostly bollocks from channel 4. I had my doubts about this at the time & decided to wait as I knew the media would get it wrong. Edited by Ouzo Dan (23 Feb 2018 8.43am)

Really disappointing if it's all BS - not because I want the first Britons to be black, or white, or green with purple spots, it just means someone's playing fast and loose with 'scientific' data and presenting it as fact (and how do we laymen decide what is fact and what is conjecture?). I think it's widely accepted that man probably first appeared in Africa, and would have been of dark complexion due to the sun protection it gives, and that the lighter shades appeared as they occupied colder areas and needed the additional sunlight absorption, so it's entirely possible the first arrivals were black, I don't really care, I just find it interesting.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

This is the crux of it really & the fault lies with channel 4, they will no doubt wave it all away & claim it was some kind of social experiment & that will be the end of it. It's a disgrace.
