60 ahead at tea useful runs.

Ideally we would like 250 ahead with India limited time to bat and worn pitch.

India bowlers are extremely useful though - this session coming will be verrrry interesting..........

Yet another Jennings flop.
Some of his scores in this series : 0,8,10,11,13,20,23.
An average of 18 in this series.
Not good enough at all.

Cook's retirement has come at the wrong time as it's not a case that Jennings is out of form but he's just not good enough.

It's a shocking time to have your senior opener retire and the junior show that he isn't up to it as they will be picking a squad for Sri Lanka shortly

The thing is that he really doesn't deserve to be in the team.
He has been given chances and has failed to deliver with an average of just 18 in this series.
I thought they would pick Rory Burns on his home pitch.

In terms of this game, I have the feeling that Kohli wouldn't be too disappointed at having to chase 250-260.

I'm excited to see how Burns will do. Perhaps Hales could come back - haven't really followed him this season. End of last season he was doing very well.
Could Vince or Denly possibly open? Or someone already in the team? (Root?).
Jennings is clearly out of sorts and should try his hand for his county for a while.

Just seen this stat about Jennings :

Five of Jennings' nine dismissals this series have been LBW or bowled. Against balls from the seamers which would have hit the stumps, he's averaged 1.33.

154 run lead with two down is not bad. No collapse and we could get a 350 lead tomorrow. Root is due a score. Dare I say Moen has been pretty good in this test overall. Out from a good ball.

Just heard that in a radio interview earlier today, that chief selector Ed Smith was inferring that Jennings would be selected for the tour of Sri Lanka.Don't think that Bob Willis is in agreement !
