If we stay up, this will be the first pre-season in years where we're not playing catch-up. Everyone still has a squad place to fight for, and very few are irreplaceable, so everyone has a point to prove even if/when it's 'mission accomplished.' Plus... Let's not forget the difference in prize money for every position higher we can finish. We're up against clubs much richer than us, so every penny counts for our transfer funds. It is over. Can't jinx it now as it won't happen. Difference in 93 was that it needed just 1 team to perform a miracle. They did but this time we have 8 teams below us and many have games against each other. Norwich won't reach our points total let alone the bottom 3. Crack open the beers boys we've done it.

Can Sunderland reach 37pts? - almost impossible. Almost impossible + highly unlikely + unlikely + highly unlikely + highly unlikely = totally impossible. Even then we could still be saved by Swansea, Villa and WBA. More chance of Kermit and Matt sharing a candlelight dinner.

yep. I am very, very confident now and relegation would require a truly monumental set of results but...but....but... lets make it certain before we open the bubbly. I will be over for the Liverpool game and I sincerely hope that will be a celebration but we'll see.
