Calvin Andrew was great for team spirit. Everyone thought they were amazing standing next to him. Andrew is now playing for York. My friend saw him play for York at Oxford Utd quite recently.

I think any group of humans needs a leader because we tend to be like sheep and all follow someone up front. While I honestly have no idea who was able to put this team spirit together I have a sneaking suspicion that Jeddi, as captain, has been most influential with perhaps some input from Jules who really is a Palace man through and through. I think team spirit is very much tied to club loyalty so perhaps we have an excellent group together and need to contemplate this situation as we plan for next season.

You see, I see Jedi as a great leader and very focused as to what he wants to achieve, but I don't particularly see him organising a pizza and play station night with some of the lads, or having a laugh with a player who has just been b*llocked by Pulis so that said player doesn't go into a sulk and dwell on it.

Do you want to expand on your use of the word "playing". I've not seen it appear in the same sentence as "Calvin Andrew" before. I can believe Andrew was at Oxford. I can believe he was wearing a York City shirt. But what you suggest beyond that isn't really credible.

We have a team of leaders. Pulis, Kemp, Millen, Francis in the coaching staff are all known and very respected. On the pitch we have leaders all across the pitch in Jedi, Dann, Ledley, Damo, Chamakh, Ward. The team spirit is great and will continue to be great.

The thing I think that is good is there is not one superstar or "diva footballer" in the palace side. Every player knows they are equally important in making the machine run. They all work for each other. Even down to the fans. I think the team gains inspiration from us as even in the worst of scenarios we the fans are there singing and cheering the lads on home and away and that in itself is a massive boost. I suppose when you think of a Captain you would automatically think inspirational leader but inspiration doesn't always have to come from words but can also come from performances and based on that I couldn't pick who as all the performances have been inspirational.

Michael who is a leader and sets by example,no nonsense captain.Looked up to by the whole squad, and give everyone the run through walls for each other mentality.Remember last year at Huddersfield when Alan Lee broke mr j cheek bone, players all stood as one and there were a few punches thrown.
