We don't really know about his wage demands - he may expect the kind of salary that Arsenal paid him. If he were to go it would be a shame but he's not exceptional. For me, he doesn't score enough goals to merit a really high salary. Edited by redpalace91 (17 May 2014 9.08am) For me he has been OK but nothing exceptional and I wouldn't lose a great deal of sleep if he went. But he HAS played his part in ensuring that we survived so well done to him.

Not sure what clubs in France pay top players compared to England. Would be surprised if he could get more than we were paying him last season. The plus for him is finishing his career back home or is that too soon?

As I understand it his contract has a 1 year option on it. This was voided if he didn't play a certain number of games or we were relegated. He did and We weren't. This story has lots of ifs in it. If Zidane becomes manager and this is is no where near certain If this was the case there is no proof that Chamakh wants to go back. He has said he is happy and is playing with a smile on his face. Obviously he has an affection for the club where he made his name but going back very rarely works As we have the one year option which I am sure club will activate same as Blackpool did with Ince this year.If Chamakh would like to return will we stand in his way? Probably not as why would we stand in his way as our strength is morale As we have the contract option until we decide if we activate it he is not a free agent. Same as Ince last summer he could not walk away.

Well said Palace in the Blood I see the usual suspects are trying to rekindle their conspiracy theories, just for those posters, all contracts run until the end of next month and I'm sure the ones we want to re-sign are in talks.

The option is a two way clause, not one way, that option has to be right for both parties or it simply wont work, Palace may or already have invoked their side of the option, it is now up to the player if he wants too carry it through, when he does not want it he can walk away with his head held high, he's honoured his side of the deal, he has a right to walk away.

Doesn't score enough so know need to worry to much, not to say he aint good but played behind a better striker could work as he is very tricky and good for assists

"Sometimes when we play away I have travelled back by train with the fans. We were talking for, like, two hours and I can see how they love this team and this club. It is crazy how much they love the team – they are talking about the gaffer, the players, about everything and they don't stop. They even invited me for a drink." Didn't know he'd traveled with fans on the way back from matches. Anyone on here bump into him? Edited by Frickin Saweet (19 May 2014 12.12pm)

I'd like to see him stay, I think he's been very good for us, but he's not unreplacable.
