I was one of the Regulars in the Eiighties when there were only around 4,000 of us for each game if it went over 6,000 we thought it was a good gate, away games up North we would number less than a100 but it was still a great experince seemed to know everyone cant say I would now!
It always gives me an inner smile when I still bump into people from the 5k days there's a few I see when away who were at the Wimbledon 0-5 Respect to the any of the 1985 5K mob All my Dad's fault for taking me fo my 1st game in 1970!!

Alan, you Sod ! thanks for reminding me. Its worse than I remember. Have you also noticed, the blue hoops are not good, bar a purple patch against reading(about 10 years ago) its always draws & defeats against them & qpr too.

I look back on those times with fond memories, s*** team, poor crowds, dilapidated ground, desperate journeys to horrible northern outposts, but I was young and keen back then.......happy days!!!!

I recall going on a Palace supporters coach to Shrewsbury when I was somewhat under the weather. As we got near to Birmingham it started to snow and we then found out that the game had been postponed ! I believe it was suggested that we might divert to watch a game at Coventry but the coach insurance didn't cover it. So all the way back home !

I remember one total wash out at selhurst, evening game. the crowd must've been about 5K.only. we absolutely slaughtered them. on a different night it would've been 5-0. scrambled off line, hit post, crazy missed chances. literally 1 f***ing shot by them & it went in. laugh! I nearly cried.
