There are many on here who think that those of us who work in the public sector do nothing in between our long holidays, drinking tea and accumulating excessive pensions.

A pal of mine was a security guard at an empty building in Croydon for 2 years. Nobody ever visited or contacted him whilst on shift. He was paid by an agency to in effect watch TV and sleep every night. He sold all the furniture that was left by the previous tenants which came to quite a bit of money. He would often meet us on a night out whilst on duty then go back to the office and sleep it off. His job now though is security at the O2 and he hates it, All the scum that he has to deal with is shocking.

Today I literally got paid to watch people work, as a security escort to some engineers in a restricted area. They had to be supervised.
