I think that if we take a 20 year old centre back on loan it will make local youngsters think twice about signing for our academy and more and more of our existing academy players will think about doing an Egbo

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Kurt Zouma (loan hearsay)' by Moose For all the good reasons given above for not taking him, Zouma is a sensational talent and he is going to play at Champions League level for many years to come. Think Marcel Desailly; this kid is a seriously hot property. Zouma and Dann would be the best centre half partnership in the Premier League outside the top four. The fact that he broke into the Chelsea first team towards the end of last season doesn't preclude him coming to us on loan. It may be that Mourinho, with Terry and Cahill as first choices and other depth already at the club, would rather Zouma had a full Premier League season under his belt as part of his development than a bit role at Chelsea. Good managers think long-term. If we got him, it would be an astonishing coup; in many ways better even than Cabaye.. He'd be worth half a dozen points a season even at the back.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Kurt Zouma (loan hearsay)' by Moose Not a chance, will be a regular for Chelsea next year, was pretty regular at points last year - even if he is their third choice centre back after Cahill and Terry he'll get at least 20/30 games based on the amount of competitions they are in. Probably the weakest and least likely rumor I've heard yet.

Guessing Kelly would have something to say about that. Would take Zouma on loan ..but as others have said, cant see it happening
