I think it's worse when people are on holiday and they think it's acceptable to wander around the shops in there speedos. You wouldn't walk around Tescos in your pants back at home

Unacceptable. Its always kind of stylish or showing pjs as well, which suggests to me its a deliberate thing (i.e. they put them on to go out) - effectively becoming the modern equivalent of jogging bottoms. Also a sign of the demise of humanity.
The time it is acceptable is if it's a geriatric with a catheter

I like nothing better than walking up and down the street in my pyjamas and slippers shouting at the traffic - if I lived in a house full of bin bags containing my own shiiite ! so no I don't agree in such outside apparel

I think is sums up things perfectly. I really like Bill Maher and here's his very funny and apt take on slob culture in the USA, which seems to be getting more of the norm in the UK too.

What is it with people now? Nearly everyday I notice mainly girls walking around near where I live in pyjamas and dressing gowns. Then yesterday notice a bloke in Tesco shopping in pyjama bottoms and a leather jacket. Why can't they get dressed before leaving the house? Often said by many a father to his blossoming daughter at the weekend blossoming or bosoming ?

This phenomenon must be a latest fashion fad surely? A young fit teenage girl who lives in my close walks to her friends house a couple of streets away in her dressing gown all the time. I thought it odd, but hoped the gown would come loose and I could get an eyeful obviously... LOL
