Now believed Mazzurri,ex manager of Inter Milan, is to be appointed. Watford are showing some real ambition here.

Superhorns I think the 3 you mentioned cost in the region of £16 Mill. Reports have stated that Flores met his targets but perhaps the owners weren't impressed with the signings and coupled with the slump in form these were key factors which led to him not having his contract renewed.Obviously I don't know the precise reasons for his departure. Pretty much spot on. They had no faith he could turn things around form wise and that his team selections and tactics were not flexible relying on the same style and players. Ofcourse it's always going to be a risk making a change but clearly they have been quick to do as such so must be confident it's the right one.

That is true. Sannino and Zola resigned and Jokanovic couldn't agree a new deal (and it depends on who you believe as to whose fault that was..) Billy McKinlay was sacked after 8 days as manager which was a bit embarrassing I guess but they just felt he was suddenly the wrong man. (I mean we almost got beaten at home by Brighton which clearly isn't on!)

Correct me if I am wrong - I have a feeling that McKinlay was in charge for 2 games and Watford were unbeaten in both those games.I think Watford were 3rd when Jokanovic replaced McKinlay.

Yes - we drew with Brighton and beat Brentford at home. Ironically Jokanovic lost his first 4 games! I have to say think more were disappointed he (Jokanovic) went than are about Flores going.

I think he was unbeaten in his first few games but then had a run of defeats before thrashing Fulham 5-0 away.I know some Fulham supporters !
