Total farce today got to feel sorry for Adam Yates if they take the Yellow Jersey away from him. Bet he wishes he was French. It was ridiculous, but they made the right decision regarding giving the same times. Even though the margin would arguably have been greater than it was without the crash. I'm surprised Quintana wasn't punished for holding on to a motorbike to get through it though. Cavendish could go for another stage win today and he's already had an amazing tour.

Yes it was madness with spectators spilling onto the road & a crash was inevitable. The attention seekers are not cycling fans. Cavendish is now only 4 short of equalling Eddy Merckx career record of 34 Le Tour stage wins. Great tour by Adam Yates who lies 3rd & a future winner perhaps.

They get far too close and the ones that try and run alongside them need a good t***ting, like Froome did to that Colombian nutter. Probably the most satisfying €184 he's ever spent. He's got today and Paris left to go for but even if he wins neither he's proven the doubters wrong. I really hope he can finally get the Olympic medal he deserves. Yates has been a big surprise, even to himself, and missing out the climb to the top of Mont Ventoux was a bonus for him.

The Yellow jersey, the white jersey and 7 stage wins for the British riders. A pretty successful tour all in all.
