Pressing? We DON'T press. The recent game against Leicester showed the worth of pressing. Shinji Okazaki was pressing us like his life depended on it. As usual we sat back and did fcuk all pressing. We lost.

Our pressing games depends on what stats you look at. Under one particular way of trying to measure "press", we appear quite high up the table. But then on the same measure, teams like Liverpool and Spurs don't feature that high. So I would suggest that measure is a load of rubbish. Basically we appear to try and play a pressing game but fail at it. If that's the way AP wants to play then (as with quite a lot in the way he wants to play at the moment) the team need to be better prepared, better drilled, and better trained in that style.

When we do it right, we look great. We've started two games quickly out of the blocks, Stoke and Boro. All other games we've lacked the confidence to have a go. We need to start fast against City and have a go, sit back and let them build momentum and they'll break through eventually. Someone mentioned us trying to do this under Holloway, that was with a much, much worse squad than we have now. We played Stuart O'Keefe and Dean Moxey back then.
The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |

I thought we started well at Leicester as well but then let them score.

Well, well,I have seen all Palace's home games this season and the Everton game on TV, but I never realised we played a pressing game. Nail on the head Bicycle, also perhaps he wants to put that bit extra in for his National team manager?

His legs have gone ? and Villa fans are thrilled with his lack of mobility, even in the champ.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |
