Positions by priority

Agreed these are the positions we need to strengthen. Candidates and timings I'd look at the following: LB. Sign Ashley Young. A short term fix until hopefully Pape is back. And then Young can move to LM. We'd then have three class attacking English wingers for two positions. Should also be fairly cheap as Man U will want him off there wages. DM. Again then we'd do well in signing Morgan Schneiderlin from united. Was class at Southampton and United want to move him on. That's two players that can massively help us out and both available at Christmas. Maybe half season loan with option to buy. ST. I'd wait till the summer and move for Defoe once Sunderland go down. He is a huge player and would go goal crazy along side Benteke. CB. In the summer I'd also move for CB cover. And a denfesive coach... Edited by Goldfiinger (07 Dec 2016 7.07pm)

Siggurdsson a class player but I'm not sure how / where he'd fit in to our first team. Mandanda For me he wouldn't get in to that 1st team, and I doubt we could sign him without offering him 1st team football. BTW: what a team! Edited by Goldfiinger (07 Dec 2016 7.22pm)

and you still haven't fixed the left wing. young is a lw more so. so I'd say lb is short on that one

maybe I'm just being a bit to loyal to punch. Sig is a quality player... Either way the team would look formidable with those three/four signings... All are potentially possible. Edited by Goldfiinger (07 Dec 2016 7.58pm)

Sigurdsson isn't moving anywhere this season, he's pretty much Swansea's only hope of staying up. Same with Defoe at Sunderland. I'd plump for: LB: loan with view to permanent - Luke Shaw Ashley Young would be good, even though I hate the guy, he can play pretty much anywhere. Not sure he'd be happy playing LB for little old Palace mind you...

I agree with the first post in terms of postions. Who was that DM from South America we were apparently gonna sign? I heard good reviews from fans of teams he played for, but can't remember his name. Also, I know the PL is hard to adjust to, but the wages in the PL at the moment are truly insane, so perhaps a look to other leagues might not be a bad shout for filling gaps (ie.
