The ball continued on its way into the net but was disallowed as the whistle had gone a fraction of a second before it crossed the line. Something tells me it was an away game at Birmingham. Does anyone else (of a certain age) recall this incident? Reminds me of a Frank Leboeuf goal from about 25 yards. On a side note, I once had a penalty in a match. Scored, referee ordered a retake for encroachment, then blew the final whistle before I could take it. f***ing outrageous.
