I would have thought the prospect of a 'bit of Freddie' with floppy haired, upper class hoorays, would be something you would approve of, even promote. An EM Forster style fantasy for the sophisticated 'Uncle Monty' type.

I know the cox joke has been done but Claire Balding genuinely snuck in "here come Cambridge led out by their cox" and no one was giggling.

Once stood in the away end at Foolham and watched the boat race go by,,,,,,as you do!! We were getting beat, so it was a welcome distraction!!

When I was a kid the boat race had massive coverage, as much as two to three weeks before the day with details of the crews etc. Plenty of playground arguments! Did not know the race was on--until It was all over this year.

One of The Oxford Ladies 8 "caught a crab" apparently at the start.... Dirty cow... no wonder they lost! The Cambridge crew had much bigger t1ts and were cuter in every way and I'm glad they won. I wanted to volunteer to get them out of those wet clothes before they caught a chill! I shall look forward to this sporting challenge again next year and appreciate their hard work, athleticism and team work.... like I did yesterday!

I heard someone in the pub say there were going to be a load of wh*res and c*cks in the telly later. I went home to watch it on the off-chance but was I bit disappointed.
