Final fee upwards of 90 million? I'm sorry but that's ludicrous. Lukaku isn't close to being the best in the world and probably never will be. He doesn't have the finesse to play for the likes of real/ Barcelona. He's more of a big lump than people think

I still don't think it's ludicrous signing, especially if he scores 25-30 league goals next season. As for the 'football has gone crazy' line, I don't think it's any worse than other sports to be honest, and why are sportsmen who are marketed all over the world less deserving of high wages than people who work in the city or property tycoons for example? They probably work just as hard, face more media scrutiny and bring in huge amounts of revenue to their employers.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |
