On Jordan Mutch: 'The Eagles midfielder doesn’t have a lot going for him these days. He is not liked by Palace fans; he spent most of last season out on loan and he is losing his hair at 25.'

the #U-23's look to have a fair bit of promise. Let's hope they continue to develop well

I understand arrangements were changed at the 11th hour but I consider the fixture to be a total let down for Maidstone United, both sets of fans who turned up and a wasted marketing opportunity for Crystal Palace FC. It didn't go down too well so I doubt there will ever be a welcome back or affection shown to CPFC in this part of the Weald. Particularly, annoying as the event didn't upstage Brighton's contribution under Gus Poyet five years ago.

I listened to the commentary (2 locals) and I got the impression from them that M UTD had come a very long way since their Brighton friendly. It was a competitive match. Which is a good match.
