Are you having a laugh. Am sure Giroud will jump at the chance to come to Palace and play back up to Benteke. Some fans are getting way above their station.

Of course we need a striker and I'm sure the club are well aware of this. However, so do a number do clubs and getting hold of one that is prepared to start on the bench can't be easy. It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Of course we need a striker and I'm sure the club are well aware of this. However, so do a number do clubs and getting hold of one that is prepared to start on the bench can't be easy.

Personally I think we need a nippy little striker that runs in behind to offer us something different. Then we're sorted. Still think Wilf will make a cracking striker one day.

As someone else has mentioned, we sold such a player to Newcastle when we didn't have a system to use him. Agreed not proven in the PL - yet!

I can't see us bringing in any front players before the season starts. I think it's more likely that we will go with what we've got and give the youngsters a chance. I'm not saying it's the right thing to do I just think that's what will happen.

What we really need is a versatile winger/forward like arnatovic who recently joined West Ham. We get better quality if we targeted this type rather than an out and out striker. Someone LIKE munir- can play wide but also a option upfront, if Benteke unavailable. What we really need is a versatile winger/forward like arnatovic who recently joined West Ham. We get better quality if we targeted this type rather than an out and out striker. Someone LIKE munir- can play wide but also a option upfront, if Benteke unavailable.
