Couple of points, that seem to be missed in this sorry affair. Carragher wasn’t wearing his seat belt. The father was driving in traffic and using his mobile phone to video the incident. Both should be prosecuted Carragher for assault and not wearing his seatbelt. Nasty little scouser. The father for using his phone whilst driving, £200 and 6 points, greedy trying to profit from the incident. Nobody comes out well from this.

Interesting that regionalism is still perfectly OK. Scouser this, Manc that. Lucky he is white and not a woman or SKY might have given him a medal. Given that Rodney Marsh was sacked for a bad taste joke, he should walk, but my experience is that people usually get the sack when the employer is looking to get rid of them. Carragher is part of the big club agenda on Sky so I expect him to remain. If the person he had spat at had been Black, he would have no chance.

I suppose he has to be suspended while a disciplinary procedure takes place. I don't know what is in his contract with regard to public behaviour but SKY will have to have grounds to sack him or else they will have to pay him off. It will be interesting to see if SKY enforce the strong moral code that they seem to expect from everyone else.
