The mixed race steward saw what happened , told me to go round the gate on the corner with Park Rd. The senior steward on the gate said that my client ref number only had 5 digits and should have 6 and tried to send me to the box office.
I told him there was no chance , pushed in the queue and got the mixed race fella to come to the gate again. He melted. As did the chief steward. Then a steward on the gate at E2 walked round , he wasn’t high up , but told them there was 15 season ticket holders outside that had been knocked back by the turnstiles. Top fella , got us in.
That fella on the gate needs promoting . Rest of them were 2 bob.
This was at the same time the 10 Brighton hid behind the police horses , so they had to shut the gates.
Could have been a massive f*ck up.
