I hope Bacuna plays next time we play the cloggers. That was absolute class.

Him and Sakho are the most underrated central defensive partnership in the league for me. Huge loss when he's out.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

The back four of PVA, Sakho, Tomkins and AWB is as good as any in the league in my opinion, with a current market value of at least 100 million.

He is marked as no return date which is a big worry.

Having done a lot of distance running in the past, I know from experience that calf strains can take while to repair. Admittedly I didn't have a professional medical team tending to my recuperation, but I think that it may be more than just a week or twos rest and treatment that is required to get Tomkins back on the field.

Allardyce spoke highly of Martin Kelly and its easy to see why. For a bench player to suddenly be projected onto the field at no notice, and perform as well as he did, well that is every manager's dream. If he takes his opportunity and keeps his place good for him, that's the way it should work and there is a definite feeling of squad players able to come in this year. Don't think we have really had that before.

I thought the idea of warming up was to do gentle exercises to make sure everything is stretched and ready for action. How do you injure yourself warming up ?... surely that implies you haven't warmed up properly ?

Why? Very hasty conclusion I would say. It probably just means the/an existing or luring injury shows itself during warming up Originally posted by babylonjohn

He felt it again in pre-match warm up so made the right decision to pull out at late notice. I don't think there is anyone to blame here.
