Dazza seems to have known as much about it as Hodgson and Parish AFAICT. After all God the King and everyone thought Niasse was going to sign for us a couple of years ago, before it turned out at ten to eleven that his agent was an arsehole.

Well I would rather spend January giving Dazza the benefit of the doubt than reading incessant lists of people we really should buy for nothing, or chasing click bait around the internet.

No idea. If you ask me, transfer business seems to be so full of smoke and mirrors that I am not sure that anyone can possibly be “in the know”.

The Solanke thing seems most peculiar. Bournemouth came from nowhere to sign him and I don’t know how anyone could have called that.

I am sure that I know nothing. Other than that I am sure of nothing else.

I don't see a problem with Dazza and I appreciate his comments.

Transfer windows are about large sums of money involved, the competition from clubs and the various stake-holders (agents, players, clubs, owners, managers, FA, fans, media etc).

Fans and the media do not feature high in the above list, nor should they.

So don't expect to hear much from managers on TV about the potential of any transfer deals. Deals are about negotiation. You don't give anything away. I'm not going to tell a car seller how much I really want his car or my bottom line. And why have egg on your face? Club negotiators are negotiating deals involving budgets, accountants, player profiles, etc and the manager has to shut-the-f--k-up.

Of course clubs discuss future deals prior to the window, but if their 'Solanke' is a hospital case, do you think they're going to let another club know?

I'd be surprised if Solanke turns out to be value for Bournemouth. My bet is that they were conned.

Then again, maybe we were conned and Solanke faked unfitness for a lucrative deal?

We'll see. No one knows until the deal is signed. Not Dazza, not Parish, no-one. That's transfers.

Why on earth are blaming dazza, even Parish has been quoted as saying its a done deal, Bournemouth came in with a late 25M bid to trump our loan deal,no one or club is to blame.

I believe the problem with mentioning names and divulging transfer activity is that as soon as these don't come to fruition one is pilloried and accused of purporting to be "In the know" and all that hogwash.

As Dazza has mentioned, the very nature of the transfer window means that events can conspire to change the picture hence some of the activity mentioned on here just doesn't come to fruition as we have seen on HOL !

Transfers can be protracted and convoluted and sometimes just as one sees that line approaching there is a 'Devon loch' moment which of course leads to disappointment and frustration.

Dazza's intentions are well-meant so let's not throw brickbats at him if certain information doesn't come to fruition.
