Harrison Ford was actually IN American Graffiti.

 

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I KNOW! That was what I was kinda saying. That he got discovered as a carpenter on set and then got the part in that film.
Which then led to him getting the role of Han Solo with the same directer 3 or 4 years later.

Yeah, but he wasn’t a carpenter on the set, either. It’s true that carpentry was an interest of his but he didn’t do film stuff. He’d been in quite a few films/tv shows before American Grafitti.
