Ashley Cole and Johnny Byrne would be challenging for a place Ashley Cole although brilliant, he would have to switch to right back or something, because Kenny Sansom is the best left back to ever play the game

well done sir, maintaining Budgie's rightful place - Byrne for Salako please, I believe Johnny was a deep-lying forward after the Don Revie/Nandor Hidegkuti model, a sort of 'number 10' - he'd fit in just behind Wrighty with Taylor and Zaha on either wing.

... and fine pedigree etc blah blah but he's only played 20 odd games for us - so Cahill is out and replaced by JIM CANNON - what have we been doing? Cannon should be first on the team sheet, Bryne second, Sansom third, I'd have John Jackson in goal
