I forgot about him, although I wouldn’t have him in there myself, he was excellent and one thing has become clear from this thread, we’ve had plenty of good defenders over the last 20 years!!

Paddy, right? I meant the current one but I like the sentiment. Reckon James McCarthy will be our best midfielder for a while. Would have put Cabaye but I used to get a bit frustrated with him sometimes and McCarthy looks good. Our type of player, full of effort and nice hard tackle, a decent passing range.
