Exactly, he was excellent when he had Cabaye next to him. I feel we have been expecting to much of him, we wanted him to be DM and a creative midfielder as well. Let him concentrate on DM duties and I believe you will see much improved performances

Not sure misplaced passes and yellow cards are solely due to the fact that Cabaye moved on. Hope you are right though and we get the Luca we all know and love next season.

I'm very confident that he returned to Serbia in the 'break' and likely that he had to quarantine on his return. Whether going home was a holiday or personal reasons, I've no idea and of course, there's an argument whether his absence has been helpful with a new season about to start. The answer may be if he's in the squad next weekend and if and how he plays.

Where is Luka is a game we all played a little after the restart, but along side most of the squad. I think this was down to tactics, injuries, and desire, and less about how well he played personally, his performances weren’t the only ones that dipped.

We would have been far better taking the handbrake off in our remaining games and play with freedom and a smile, but I saw very little smiling and pretty drab football. Makes me wonder what the dressing room is like.
