At least one of the papers was saying something along the lines of that if you cant get enough supporters in the stadium its yet another loss maker for the clubs because of the additional costs involved - Stewards / Police / Ambulance / Concessions / etc etc so it would seem that to some extent having 2000 or 4000 in stadiums is actually worse for the clubs I believe Tranmere have raised this point. On 'TalkSport', Simon Jordan has asserted that instead of a set-figure permitted in stadia based on 'Tier' level there should have been a % of Stadium capacity. Edited by Willo (24 Nov 2020 4.22pm)

Edited by Willo (24 Nov 2020 4.22pm) It's just a start as to how to we get to that point. The biggest issue is how people get too and from the ground. Personally, I'd allow the boxes to be auctioned off, then allow in 3,000 season ticket holders with post codes closest to the ground and 1,000 to the HF (if there are that many?) Whilst grounds are pretty much empty, I still don't see why tickets can't be given to organised groups of local school kids. They are already in a bubble and normally priced out. Where's the harm?

When the Tiers are announced by Boris, Palace will be lucky if they are allowed a 2,000 limit.

It will be like watching a Tuesday night first round match in the League Cup when we were in the Championship. I had my mates box on my own for one of these about 10 years ago. Took the missus and she sat inside and watched Eastenders on the TV! It’s a no from me until normality resumes.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
