Eddie Howe got Bournemouth relegated. No thanks. We might well be unable to spend more, but that is not Hogson's fault. The injuries to Schlupp, Tomkins and Ferguson have been a big blow plus the insane sale of Wan Bissaka and the failure of our big signings Benteke and Sakho. Roy will be scapegoated if we go down, but he is only a small part of the problem.

Whoever takes over from Roy will see just like us that it will take time and money.A lot better managers than Howe would struggle at palace ,and we won't have a lot of big names after the job.

Cannot see the logic if this if true. RH will be far more competent in getting the remaining points from the squad we have than Howe or anyone else. A change at the end of the season is the sensible thing to do . Sounds like a betting rouse to me. COYP

The logic will be getting another manager in early as I mentioned this is not a small job.Has anyone got confidence in Roy keeping us up ? .Maybe just Maybe parrish will hold off if we beat Brighton. But will his managerial choice wait ?

I have said many times on these pages that I am not a fan of Howe and I don't want him as our manager . I have also said that I will support whom ever become our next manager , even Howe .

Would like to think and hope if it is Howe who takes over ? Parrish would have done his homework on him and was certainly interested in him a while back. And Howe would have had plenty of time to see what he is taking on .

COYP I tend to agree - although if Roy loses another two games by 2+ goals to nil I’d be surprised if he wasn’t booted. This has happened before and he’s pulled results out of the bag... but we have an old squad with injuries to key players AND more fixtures being played over shorter periods of time. I’m not saying don’t sack him if results stay bad, I just don’t think a new manager, especially Howe, is going to be able to do much with us until those players start to come back. Howe is a massive gamble. He’s a one club manager who dipped his toe with Burnley and failed miserably. Bournemouth is his comfort zone and there’s nothing to suggest to me he’d do well anywhere else. He’s proven himself to be a great manager - anyone who promotes a club of that size on limited budget and keeps them in the PL playing half decent football deserves credit. But he’s unproven outside of that cosy, familiar environment. All that said, who else is there? Dyche will never come here. Certainly not mid season. It’s a really tough one for Parish. I don’t envy him - this could be the time our luck finally runs out

Howe will be a risk ,but when you think who is available and would want the job then they are all some kind of risks involved .Chelsea,Spurs and Even Arsenal until lately have all struggled with managerial appointments.

You’re right Any appointment is a risk. I just view Howe as a significant risk for reasons mentioned above. The betting odds are a joke. John Terry second favourite FFS. Closely followed by Lampard, Dyche (no chance), Gollum and get this... Pardew and Michael Carrick. Ridiculous punter baiting.

Sorry to be a spoiler to all the ‘Roy out now’ brigade but there’s no way Parish will sack Roy now. We’re 11 points off the relegation zone and Roy’s contract is up at the end of the season. With all the financial struggles of the club currently, forking out additional, unnecessary expenses by paying Roy off is something I cannot for the life of me see Parish do.
