Not been on here very long but I do recall his name. Very good of DD to enquire. Typical of the nature of this site. My condolences to Dave's family.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Goodness, what a shock and how very sad for his family and friends. Dave was one of the few HOL members that I shared direct messages with. Largely this was because he lived in Barnehurst, which was my stomping ground for 37 years to 1998. He always struck me as a wise poster, with an intelligent (and sometimes biting) sense of humour. I've often had the sobering thought that millions of members of social media, forums, etc will one day "post no more" (so to speak) and vast numbers of them will leave their fellow posters wondering what happened to them. At least in respect of Dave we know where he has gone, albeit tragically so. Edited by YT (04 May 2021 4.45pm)
