No from me One tournament doesn't make him a good player. We have seen so many times a player get signed off the back of a good International tournament and really be a flop. I suspect this story is just a case of 2+2=5 by journalists off the back of Denmark's good showing and that PV had him at Nice. Not seen anything from him that impresses me.

My 'No chance' was in response to the suggestion that Benteke might be loaned out or sold!

We can spend the money more wisely than by taking a risk on Dolberg at an inflated price. So it's a 'no' from me.

Trouble is anyone who has had a half decent Euros their price will have gone through the roof. I’d rather look elsewhere unless by some miracle it’s at a reasonable price

We still have Mateta, unless he's packed his bags and left.

Mateta has been pictured in the training pics the club have put up on the website so it seems he’s still a palace player.

It was my understanding he signed a long term loan deal but that we had agreed to sign him. So I’ve always thought of him as a permanent signing. I was just pointing out to the other poster id seen him pictured at training.

Mateta has done well at Lyon ana Mainze and certainly deserves his chance, Dolberg has done well at Ajax and Nice and is very versatile, a good signing if he comes, Both are a lot better than Benteke in my opinion
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

He scored a nice goal v Brighton but other than that he has shown little to justify a place. His touch is poor, he cant make the ball stick, loses possession.

As for Dolberg, I've explained why not in earlier posts.
