Roger Hoy don"t rhyme! I was merely pointing out the first time I ever heard the “He’s here he’s there” chant, which would have been around 1969/70. We were happy to cheer on the effort and tenacity of the player, and as long as the name scanned ok in the chant, and Roger Hoy does, or rather did, that was good enough. Sadly another player of that era who is no longer with us.
