Who says we don’t need him!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Should have perhaps got a hat trick. He was the only player who looked like scoring. Schlupp got through on goal but should have shot, that was about it.

Palace on top but not exactly decisive up front. Hughes playing well. Wilf looks ok. Olise looks tidy today. Validolid seem dangerous on the break. Yeah, I think Will should start ahead of Schlupp. He's a scrapper and is better on the ball. Schlupp came on and looked a bit headless; I think he's best when he just gets simple instructions like 'run at the goal and shoot'. Olise had so much of the ball but I felt like he didn't do enough with it. He did win us the penalty though with a bit of a swan dive! Wilf did what he's done all season: gets wound up too easily, misplaces a few passes, but gets the goals. Easily our biggest threat, so let's hope he's still with us on 1st February as no one else looks ready to take the mantle.

Do we expect the game tomorrow to be played as it is our first league game, back after the break, Andersen and Ayew returning to the squad, Valladolid are not that good, Championship standard so a morale boosting win would be just the ticket. Was that 2-1 win against a Championship-standard team morale-boosting enough?
