Southampton can still play some lovely football and then they can't, extremely and stupidly inconsistent on and off the pitch, if you want to see a club shoot itself in the foot then look no further, I haven't a clue what the score will be.

I hope Southampton go down, with JWP. And that he never gets his little free kick record by virtue of never getting a kick in the PL ever again. Scrawny little Hitler Youth haircut mother f***er.

These are the fighting for lives matches. A draw seems likely. With Palace's recent results it's not exactly easy to predict.

A win would virtually guarantee our survival for yet another season, although a difficult fixture and possibly a 2-0 away win, given the brilliant confidence and self belief Roy has installed since the disastrous tenure of Mr.Nice guy!!

But we would all have him although I think he is too old for us now. Edited by dreamwaverider (10 Apr 2023 5.40am) I cannot imagine for one moment wanting anything to do with this vile club, my memory of absolutely hating them goes back to our team of the eighties and the time my Dad took me and my brother to Selhurst to watch us play this vile club, they booted us left right and centre for the entire game leaving us with injured players all over the pitch, papers the next day with horrified reports. Hated them ever since and will hate them for ever more.

I think with a couple of wins now and a seemingly happier, more settled group coupled with the fact we’re not looking perilously close to relegation, we might see Palace relax a bit more and in doing so enjoying their football, dominating the game and seeing off the likes of Southampton who may start to look even more erratic and crestfallen. Seen it in years past where the pressure has eased somewhat and we turn out our best performances of the season towards the end. Can all go wrong of course but I expect us to look nonchalant and almost dismissive in beating them. I’m very encouraged by the prospect of an Olise/Eze partnership flourishing too especially in lieu of Wilf’s presence. I think Roy is showing himself to be a master of pragmatism. That meant playing unattractive, uninspired football to keep us up but with real talent available he might just bring the best out of them and that will be more indicative of his ‘style’. 3-0 COYP, still on a high!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Every game is very hard to call in this division but they are going to have to go for a win which will leave their dodge defence vulnerable. Weather the early storm, Catch them on the counter with a sucker punch then win 2 nil.

Come on; let's be objective here. If you were a Southampton supporter, you'd be crapping yourself right now about playing Palace, wouldn't you?
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |
