No doubting his quality, that was a very good season he has just had. Fulham know what he gives, and so do a lot of on lookers, but at thirty four, one year contracts have to make sense.

Willian was once an exceptional player, but at 34, he is not a good bet for us. I saw him a few times playing for Fulham and the moments of magic were very brief. Young blood please - not old'ns,
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

As it's a free transfer I'd take him, but only as a substitute, which I don't think he'd want to be.
