Kompany and Burnley must be shocked by the gulf in class from Championship to Prem. That said most of their games have been tight. I can see us being too clever for them on the counter attack and winning this one 2 nil.

Mitchell went off injured against Spurs, so I guess it's speculation. For what it's worth, I'd play Ward left-back and play Richards on the right. Then we at least have a relatively quick defender on both sides. Clyne has struggled in his cameos through pre-season and into this season. I think his time might be up at this level. I wouldn't read too much into last night's result. A certain other team lost 3-0 in the EFL cup before putting in arguably its best performance of the season.
