Reminded me more of Bolasie when he came on yesterday. Not as gangly or focused on tricks, but raw and unpredictable and ready to use his strength. This was seen either once he'd edged past Walker or on another occasion. He did well but then lost possession when he had an easy pass on because he was looking to break free into space. The wrong decision at the time but an indication of his potential.

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

I think he's an upgrade on Max Meyer.

Was at the game yesterday, he got a huge cheer when he came on, looked lively, he is a little raw but a massive upgrade on Max Meyer.

Give him a chance to gain experience, Could be in the Ollise mold if he develops

Which one? I'd be be more than happy if he showed a bit of Romario, what a special player he was.

Franca has that Brazilian look to his style and wings on his back. Pacey to say the least and more than happy to throw his weight around.
Positively surprising. (So too were all the other kids who played.)

So, when Newcastle bring on a 17yo who scores, our 18-23yo's have to be bedded in, gain more experience & bide their time, really?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Point taken, you can always find exceptions and differences in approach to young players.

But consider the way Michael Olise was gradually introduced. Under Vieira I believe.

Hasn't turned out badly for him has it ?

How old is Jude Bellingham? He seems to have figured it out. Real Madrid not keeping him under wraps with a gradual introduction.

Foden on the other hand took a couple of years or more of sub appearances and occasional starts to cement his place in the Citeh team despite clearly being a gem of a young player and rated by Guardiola.

As for Jude Bellingham, he had already proved himself at Dortmund and with England so there was no need for Real Madrid to keep him under wraps any more than it was for us to keep the U21 Guehi under wraps when we bought him.

Consequently, I don't see your post has any relevance to the issue of the playing of unproven youngsters in the PL.

Although it is easy to forget that Guehi had never played a minute of Premier League football before making his PL debut with us.
