Surely Potter, or I guess the Ipswich guy.

It was shocking that there was talk of him taking over at Liverpool only a few weeks ago.
Truly a flavour of the month manager who was just a bit nuts, and that's what put the fire up their arse at the beginning, but it was never going to last.

Also why I didn't panic when many other Palace fans were why-can't-we-be-more-like-Brighton-ing

When he first took over from Potter he was getting the plaudit's in much the same Glasner is for Palace at the moment. They were scoring goals for fun and got into Europe. Players like March went from average to very good. They've had a bad run with injuries and i think over the last few season's they have started well but run out of steam towards the end.
Bloom has mentioned Brighton have a model they adhere to but reading between the lines it sounds like De Zerbi might not want to conform to it or and wants to go to a club who are not so rigid.
His management record is overall very good and looking at his time he has done well at Brighton. I think he will end up at a bigger club.
Anyone have any idea on the model Bloom uses at Brighton. I know he is very stat's focus (that's how he made his money) Part of it seems to be to discover young talent and play them along the veteran's like Welbeck, Gross, and Dunk and sell at inflated prices to the likes of Chelsea!!
Cucurella went for 60 million which is the price been banded around for Olise. Chelsea certainly got the wrong end of this deal.
