Why is this better than say Pellegrino?

Won the Eredivise granted but was sacked after 3 months by Inter. Surely getting a newly promoted club to 9th in the league and to a cup final is a better achievement.

Hmm dunno. Great record at Ajax(not difficult) then went out of his comfort zone and went to Inter where he was sacked after just 3 months. Could be a stroke of genius or a disaster

I hope that this correct, I really do. Let's face it these people manage in the public eye and their records, styles of play, etc. are a matter of public record. By the time we've done the "there are a number of other candidates to see before we can make a decision" speech, the best of them have pissed off to more decisive employers.

If it's Pellegrino then great also! Nice to be linked with some decent coaches though! Considering Coleman and Hodgson were mentioned!

The main difference is that he is a big name, so he should be able to keep the current squad happy as well as attract players imo. I would be very happy should he want to come

not a fan of FDB - Ajax career ended on a downward slope and his time at Inter was a disaster.

Would rather pellegrino. his time at inter was a shambles and by the time he left Ajax they weren't to fond of him either.
