The bin dippers have threatened to loan him out to Besiktas if we can't sort a fee out before 26 August. I can't see him wanting to go to that bonkers couuntry, but there you go.

I don't get why he isn't fit , I figure if he had a 2 week break after the euros he went back to Liverpool at the latest july 18. what the f*** has he been doing since , just because he is subject to transfer speculation surely he don't just sit at home playing play station and cleaning his Bentleys

Yeah, so you might field a player who has a Condition of 99% but if his Match Fitness rating is at 52% you'll get 30 minutes out of him at best and chances are he'll get crippled by the wind blowing on him.

Funny how posters whinge about why this deal was not concluded moons ago. Manure have only just signed Pogba. Clubs a great deal bigger than us are still negotiating deals for players who probably won't sign until a couple of games in. Why is a higher standard expected of our club? What factor separates us from those other clubs save the fact that we have a weaker bargaining power than them and limited cache in the market? One annoying factor about the transfer window is that it coincides with the school holidays.

We just saw a season go by where we suffered from a lack of fire-power and everyone is dying to be re-assured. I feel quite positive. Even if Bolasie does go (I rate him, although perhaps not quite as highly as some of the folks on here), if Benteke comes in I think it'll be the best transfer window I have ever seen from Palace. We'll have potentially made a good few quid from Bolasie and Gayle, culled a few peripheral players from our wage budget and bought in (hopefully) Mandanda, Townsend, Tomkins and Benteke. I'd say that definitely would represent an improvement in our stature.
