Astonished by the labor recovery in two years. From a party that looked like splitting and dying at the election to one that's holding its own. Conservatives wing seats in Scotland...looking like no clear winner either. Impressive showing for Corbyn here.

I cannot help but think that the 'hung parliament shocker' is driven by Lynton Crosby to remove complacency from the Tories and highlight the danger of electing the looneys to the public. The figures just don't add up. A poll in the Guardian today says that the Tories lead is reduced to 12%. The Tories have been consistently ahead. Labour aren't making any headway in Scotland. How does this scenario pan out? Will done to Yougov.

Edited by Mr_Gristle (09 Jun 2017 6.51am) It's good to see the public thinking for themselves. Again. And the Tories being propped up by the Scotch! May has always dreamed of being a PM but will now go down as one of the shortest in recent history.

The other 3 elections Labour won so it's hardly surprising this isn't as good. The truth is that this is about as good a result as Labour could have realistically expected. It makes Tories much weaker and much less electable next time. Lots of much closer Tory marginals now which they could very well lose in a possible autumn election.
