Fact is he cost approx £30m and reputedly earns £120k per week and as such has played 53 games and scored 16 goals.

You got shares in the Benteke franchise? Its January and you're telling me you'd be happy for that lazy f***er to play up top as the main man for the rest of the season? Roys playing him because he has to. Hasnt he tried to sign two strikers this window? He is a headless chicken regardless. Ive never seen a forward with such a bad positional sense. No movement, no desire, no work rate, s*** finisher and most importantly. NO football brain. I reckon hundreds of HOLers could reel off the names of many, many forwards we've had (quite a few we paid good money for at the time) who had much less football brain and awareness than Benteke.

Well, I'm not going to start a new thread, nor can I be bothered to attempt a list of 100s of names but, just for starters, I'd offer, in no particular order: Akinbyi, Trevor Aylot; Shefki Kuqui; Gareth Taylor; Marco Gabbiadini; and Aaron Wilbraham. I'm sure others on here could chip in their own suggestions. Personally I don't think all of those were absolute rubbish and some of them didn't cost an enormous amount but anyone who thinks Benteke is on a par with them for awfulness has not been watching Palace as long as I have.

the thing I can't abide is the "chase-down the-keeper-you-lazy-f***er" attitude of many at the ground. says so much about those people. Benteke will come great.
