Nobody buys a Chief Operating Officer or the like in a week. Due diligence is crucial, you have to live with these guys for at least a few (six?) months. The opportunity cost from getting it wrong is massive. I wouldn't say you do a 2nd round of interviews. You might have your 1st choice in for advanced talks but you don't call all 3 or 4 in for a 2nd time. Or maybe I misunderstood your post.

Been quite pleased with how professional the club's search seems to have been. Identify a range of targets, interview them through the week, take the time to make the decision and (hopefully) get their man. Almost like we're a proper EPL club now
