Yes I know. But I said IF Robinson was elected and voted according to his conscience how would that be any different to what he does now?

I was following the campaigns and commenting in various forums but as I wasn't here I couldn't actively campaign. I am not so sure I would have done back then either as what happened during the leave campaign have only become clear with hindsight. I am though now determined to ensure that we don't repeat the same mistakes. We cannot go back but we can go forward.

No. That’s a cop out. If I punch someone in the face then explain I thought he’d look better with new teeth he’s got the right to be unhappy about it even though I might have been acting iwith genuine concern. If you punched someone in the face then you would have broken the law and any justification, however good or nonsensical, is irrelevant. MPs are just doing the job we pay them to do. You can be as unhappy as you like but as they hold the responsibility you just need to accept it.

Him making his case and voting according to his conscience in Parliament would be his obligation. That though is entirely different to what he has done in the past (he doesn't appear to actually doing very much right now). Making videos outside of Courts, making rabble rousing speeches at "rallies", publishing contentious online content and encouraging a social media following is far removed from the job of an MP.

Videos excepted it sounds like exactly what a lot of MPs do.
